Much full-bore shooting takes place at Bisley in Surrey. It's about a 45 minute drive from The Bearsted and Thurnham Rifle Club. This is the heaqquarters of the National Rifle Association and the National Small-Bore Rifle Association.

Lydd and Hythe
Another popular local club is the Cinqe Ports Rifle Club, which uses the military ranges at Lydd and Hythe military bases. Numerous military ranges are used, and targets include static targets, pop-up targets and the occasional tank at ranges up to and in excess of 1500m. There are no calibre restrictions on several of the ranges as they are used by the military. This is one of the few places in the country that is allowed use of .50 BMG calibre.
